Dear Friends and Past Travelers,

Venice and the Veneto have lost none of their magic: inviting landscapes, great architecture, and masterpieces around every corner await our arrival. The Most Serene Republic of Venice was a great maritime power, but it also ruled an important part of the mainland. We begin our trip in the charming small town of Follina; from there, we will discover Palladian villas, great Renaissance art and the sculpture masterworks of Canova.

As we arrive in Venice itself, we will check in to a 12th-century palazzo on the Grand Canal, and, from there on, we will immerse ourselves in the many architectural and artistic treasures of this extraordinary city. At the Accademia, we will discover masterpieces by Giorgione, Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto and many other artists. The Correr museum will invite us into to the vivid images of the city’s history. We will find ourselves in the Venice of the 18th century at the Ca’ Rezzonico; at the church of San Sebastiano, we will see the newly restored paintings by Veronese; and, throughout, we will discover just why Venice, for so many centuries, has fascinated the world. We will see extraordinary Venetian interiors and enjoy Venetian cuisine in the company of our distinguished hosts “In Murano, we will see that the glass makers are as creative as ever, and everywhere we go, the city’s seductions will shine, undimmed and powerful.

I hope you will join me on this wonderful trip.

Cordially,
Olivier Bernier
